Why you should care about GDPR

As a public relations and marketing firm, we have to keep aware of issues of compliance and regulations. And in light of recent scandals involving data security, because we design and produce websites for the real estate industry (including finance related websites), we take issues of data security seriously. So we want to bring to the attention of our clients and friends upcoming requirements for GDPR compliance.

GDPR is a regulation that requires businesses to protect the personal data and privacy of EU citizens for transactions that occur within EU member states, even for websites hosted outside the EU, and goes into effect on May 25, 2018.

You may think this does not matter to you. But if anybody from Europe comes to your site, or if you wish to do business with EU companies, or even if you wish to prepare for regulations that should come to the United States, this should concern you.
